With cyber chants of “Klan ain’t dead” still whispering across the net after a prolonged episode of group dismemberment experienced by the SpaceGhostPurrp-helmed Raider Klan, it seems that one of the group’s previous staples—the 18 year old Denzel Curry—is similarly keeping his powder dry, so to speak.
Below you can stream Curry’s debut album Nostalgic 64 ahead of its release, which is tomorrow. The album runs a 13-track list, most of the production dually conspired by the likes of POSHtrunaut and Ronny J (who’s responsible for the lead single “ThreatZ”) which are the sometimes ferocious, sometimes eerie propellants of the vivid street imagery painted by Curry and the other young South Floridians whom he taps for features. Of the album’s similar compelling and cinematic nature of Trap Lord, I’ll keep such comparisons to myself for now.
