Masta Killa Announces New Album 'Selling My Soul' For December Release

With many of the Wu-Tang luminaries enjoying a productive year—RZA making his directorial debut with The Man With The Iron Fists, Ghostface Killah spearheading the Wu-Block album with Sheek Louch—one of the Clan's more underrated members, Masta Killa, is also prepping material of his own.

The Brooklyn MC has announced a new album, Selling My Soul, set for release Dec. 11 via Nature Sounds and Royal Lion Music. The LP will feature contributions from 9th Wonder (who partnered with Killa on The Wonder Years cut, "Loyalty"), Mathematics and PF Cuttin, as well as a posthumous appearance from Ol' Dirty Bastard. Killa made clear that his scheduled Loyalty Is Royalty album is still in the works, and that this new album differs entirely.

"'Loyalty Is Royalty' is more feature-oriented…it's the kind of material that my fans normally expect me to produce. The people will still get 'Loyalty Is Royalty.' I just felt the need to give them some soul first," he said.

Both standard and deluxe copies of Selling My Soul are currently available to pre-order on the newly launched mastakillamusic.com. Limited to only 200 copies, the deluxe edition includes a lyric book, autographed poster, Masta Killa wool cap and download card for the new album, as well Killa's previous three releases, No Said Date, Made In Brooklyn and Live. Each package also comes with RAW rolling papers and an "Ooh Baby I Like It Raw" ODB T-shirt.
