Headlining Reading and Leeds Festival this upcoming weekend, Nine Inch Nails will be incorporating a new stage show inspired by Talking Heads' 1983 Stop Making Sense Tour. However, the setup has been redesigned to be more suitable in an outdoor setting.
In an interview with NME, NIN's creative juggernaut Trent Reznor gave some details regarding the stage setup. "In terms of physical components, it's actually low-tech," said Reznor. However he also admitted the possibility of it either being "the best thing ever," or a "spectacular disaster."
In addition to that, the NIN frontman also admitted that he was prepared for the backlash when he announced that Nine Inch Nails would go back on tour despite announcing in 2009 that the band would stop touring. "I guess I was ready for the backlash," said Reznor. "I mean, I've seen The Cure on about eight different farewell tours. Kiss about 10."
In other news regarding Nine Inch Nails, the band recently released their single "Everything," off their forthcoming album Hesitation Marks. It's definitely unexpected as the song treads along the chord powered anthems of pop punk. Hear it below.
