Set to release their comeback album, Hesitation Marks, on September 3 via Columbia, Nine Inch Nails are performing a string of festival shows before embarking on a massive North American Tour in support of the forthcoming LP. Their first festival was today at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival, which streamed live on Youtube but was unfortunately geo-blocked outside of Japan.
Luckily, festival-goers caught some footage or live audio which includes half an hour of the latter part of their set and two new songs:"Find My Way," and "Copy of A." According to Reznor, the stage set with "smoke, strobe lights, and video screens on wheels," was taken as direct inspiration from Talking Heads' 1983 tour film Stop Making Sense.
Also in an interview with The New York Times, Reznor revealed that Hesitation Marks feels "minimal and sparse"; "Find My Way," fits the description pretty well as Reznor's vocals remain at the forefront accompanied with subtle piano melodies.
