The Vaccines are back with the second single off their upcoming EP Melody Calling.
The track, "Everybody's Gonna Let You Down," is the second song released by the band this year. "Melody Calling," the title track to the EP, premiered on BBC Radio 1 late last month. Melody Calling is the first release of new material for the band since the release of their 2012 album Come of Age, the follow-up record to their critically acclaimed debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?
"Everybody's Gonna Let You Down" and "Melody Calling" are both more subdued tracks than the band's previous material. The Vaccines have opted for slower acoustic guitar melodies and more melancholy lyrics, as opposed to the fast-paced indie rock that they are known for.
Melody Calling was recorded at Eldorado Studios in LA and is set to be released August 12.
