From Phoenix's newest album Bankrupt! Their new single "Trying To Be Cool" was a fun catchy pop tune that surely broke through the masses in all directions. So much so that they had even set a remix contest for it and had artists such as Silver Swans, Breakbot, and RAC remix it. Now Canadian DJ producer supreme A-Trak has given it a go. His touch offers a much more smoothly wound layers of electronic beats that'll get you grooving the moment it starts up.
"I've been a fan of Phoenix since their first album, so I was really excited to take this one on," A-Trak says of the mix. "I also love remixing a song that has a memorable vocal. I try to make a new song out of it, but theirs was already great. Hopefully people enjoy mine too."
