When you think of Russia you usually think of the cold harsh winters. You imagine remnants of the last two World Wars, the cold war. You think of bears and their president Vladimir Putin wrestling them. But in contrast the band Motorama from Rostov-on-Don creates shimmery pop music that defies the harshness of the environment that surrounds them. To prove that, their new single "To The South" is full of jangling guitars mixed in with their post-punk influences to make a really fun twisting and turning pop song.
And as one of the most established indie acts in Russia, they are definitely a band to keep an eye out for. Having already played a handful of European festivals and tours, they are set on getting their music out here in the states.
