
Last night during the NBA Finals, Jay-Z had surprisingly announced his new album Magna Carter Holy Grail. But it wasn't only the announcement that was surprising. In addition to the annoucement, it's also been stated that Samsung (the creators of the popular Samsung Galaxy line of smart phones) will be giving away one million free copies of the album via an app. It was reported by the Wall Street Journal that Samsung had paid five to twenty million dollars for the collaborative media exposure. The app will be released on June 24, 2013 through the Google Play Store and available to the Galaxy series line of phones. But it will be given out for free on July 1, 2013 three days before the album's official release on July 4.
