A playwright and an author are some of the many titles under Sonny Smith's list of accomplishments. Not surprisingly, Smith's songs play out cinematically - well, more lyrically than musically. In Sonny & the Sunsets' latest music video, "Green Blood" from the just released Antenna to the Afterworld LP, Smith tells his bandmate, Tahlia (Harbour), about his sci-fi dream in a cab. The animated 2-D work by Teppei Ando is a perfect visual companion to the whimsically charming lo-fi track, where melancholy, innocence, and zaniness converge.
