Scion celebrates its 10-year anniversary by issuing Scion 10, a free compilation featuring previously unreleased tracks by Smoke DZA, Harry Fraud, Poolside, ASG, the Melvins and more. The album harbors "Red Car," a slow-building, cinematic leftover from Chromatics' superb 2012 album Kill for Love. "Red Car" finds Johnny Jewel in his element yet again, his lofty vocals surrounded by dark, zoned-out production and muffled drums. It's a smoldering track that doesn't quite match its title (unless you'd profess your love in such a way for that inanimate object, of course), but it's a fitting soundtrack for an evening drive.
