Bronx upstart Doley Bernays has been circulating the Internet rather quickly, which is surprising for a new rapper. On "Blessed," the BX native gets right to work, spitting confidently about the classic hip-hop story: the ascent of a drug dealer to rap star. MP Williams, who produced on A$AP Rocky's album, provides Bernays with an upbeat, thumping jam and emulates a young Kanye West, which makes the single all the more intriguing.
After a bit more research, you'll find that "Blessed" is a far cry from his sound on his last song, "Raise Your Weapon," which features a hauntingly beautiful deadmau5 sample.
Just In Case is expected to be released next month.
