K-pop isn't always silly chubby pranksters and over the top dolled up girl groups with excessive amounts of members. Sometimes, they're solo artists with legitimate radio pop songs that you can either dance to or sing along to. And one representing that corner of K-pop would be Lee Hyori.
Formerly a member of a group called Fin.K.L., the performer has been a solo artist for the past decade in South Korea. A lot of her songs broke the boundaries for what was considered in the country and she's been an iconic star in Asia's pop universe.
Now after her two year break, she has finally dropped a new single. And in spite of the recent viral article that all of the current Miss Korea contestants look the same, the Korean pop star's new single is coincidentally titled "Miss Korea."
In contrast to her past singles, this song takes it back to a more classy jazz age with its black and white aesthetics and more somber musical approach. The diva can be seen rocking those full bathing suits from good ole days as well as fancy couture type dresses.
