
Following five interviews with the collaborators involved in Daft Punk's highly anticipated album Random Access Memories, the next installment is of Chilly Gonzales discussing his collaborative experience with the French duo. The last testimonials were from the disco legends, Giorgio Moroder and Nile Rodgers; pop culture icon Pharrel; previous Daft Punk collaborator Todd Edwards and Panda Bear.
In this installment, Chilly Gonzales discusses his personal distaste of collaborations but makes exceptions for artists "in posession of some true key to the zeitgeist." He also talks about his previous contributions to electronic music and working with the European electronic supergroup Boys Noize.
In regards to his contribution on Random Access Memories, he discusses how Daft Punk used him in an "appropriate way" by utilizing his knowledge of the mathematics of music such as harmony. View the video below.
