Indie pop has been on a pretty big resurgence the last few years. With a lot of the newer bands heading for that fuzzy pop sound, originators such as The Wake have found themselves in a new era of pop. And fellow indie pop originators The Pastels have also returned. With their first album in over a decade on the way, they kicked things off with their new single "Check My Heart." Full of jangling guitars, vintage sounding percussion, and a psychedelic vibe, the band really takes us back to the good ole days of fun non-elitist indie pop.
Their new album Slow Summit will be out May 28, 2013 on Domino Records.
