Well, it’s finally here. After last weekend’s preview for Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” during a ‘Saturday Night Live’ commercial, there was an outbreak of fakes, loops, and “real radio edits.” But after some patience, it was announced that the single would be officially out tonight and it now is.
Featuring Pharrell Williams on vocals and legendary Nile Rodgers of Chic fame, the track is an ode to the good ole days of disco but infused with the modern electronic contagious dance signatures of Daft Punk. Thumping bass, four on the floor beats, funky guitars, Pharrell's smooth vocals and the vintage production really makes this song shine. If this is what "EDM" is going to sound like now or at least come back to, it's more than welcome.
