Mixing in a blend of Pavement-style pop and the rough rugged edges of pop-punk, Brooklyn trio Old Monk made a splash into the scene with their debut album Birds of Belize last year on Eenie Meenie Records. And off the album they've released a new music video for their song "Telephone Bones." In the video the trio is placed in a surreal party happening in unknown whereabouts in Brooklyn. And just like those strange nineties grunge MTV 120 Minute music videos, Old Monk's videos heads into strange waters when cheerleaders and pillow fights randomly bombard your visual appetite.
