Although, PSY’s popularity may begin to wane as many wait for his follow-up to “Gangnam Style,” there are still a slew of K-pop artists and groups out there that may be ready to take the reign. One of those groups is YG label mates 2NE1. The South Korean female K-pop group made their North American debut last year selling out dates in New Jersey and California. Produced by Black-Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am and DJ Poet, the collaboration track “Take on The World” for Intel’s Ultrabook Project sounds familiar. House-centric with poppy catchy hooks and auto-tuned vocals is perfect for the club scene. Whether or not this song will be appearing on the group’s new album isn’t confirmed. But it’s good to know that the sessions with Will.I.Am are not a myth and that new songs do exist. It’s all a matter of time before they come back with new material.
