Anthony Gonzalez aka M83 and composer Joseph Trapanese (TRON: Uprising) have teamed up to score Tom Cruise’s upcoming sci-fi epic Oblivion. And as of late, Gonzalez has been become more and more grand with his recent productions. The results have shown on the first taste we get from his scoring duties.
The first track we get to hear from this collaboration is titled “StarWaves.” Immensely epic and grand, the instrumental piece sounds like it’s going to set a serious impact on the film’s emotional tone. This may be one of the most anticipated scores out this year if this track's sound holds up through the whole soundtrack.
The film will be released April 19, 2013 nationwide. The original soundtrack will be available April 9, 2013 via Back Lot Records.
