Having announced the new TrapGold mixtape earlier this week, Iggy Azalea debuts the first audio release from her upcoming project with the Diplo and 1stDown (of FKi)-produced "Down South."
Despite hailing from Australia, Iggy quite clearly accentuates a typically Southern twang in her music—something she plays on with this new track. Over a bouncy and glitchy Gucci Mane Trap House-esque beat, Grand Hustle's First Lady also makes a sexual double entendre, rapping: "I'm looking up North while you touching down South." The tease.
TrapGold will be entirely produced by Diplo and 1stDown, and arrives online Oct. 11. Stream "Down South" below.
