Although David Bowie may not be touring behind his first album in ten years The Next Day, he’s definitely into the notion of releasing music videos to promote the album.
Last we were presented with a music video for “Where Are We Now?” And last night Bowie dropped a new music video for "The Stars" (Are Out Tonight). Directed by Floria Sigismondi and starring British actress Tilda Swinton and Bowie himself, the two play a happily married middle aged couple. But unbeknownst to them, a younger couple that bares striking similarities to the two stalks them and surprises are disturbingly metamorphosed in the music video’s plot. It’s almost like a David Lynch film in many ways.
Bowie’s The Next Day will be released March 12, 2013.
