It seems like Coachella isn't the only music festival to be making some noise this year. Since its inception in 2006 (they curated the Intonation Festival in 2005), Pitchfork's "Pitchfork Music Festival" has grown into one of the most predominant music festivals. The line-up has increasingly become more and more swagalicious every year. Previous artists such as Sonic Youth, A$AP Rocky, Animal Collective, Broken Social Scene, LCD Sound System, Beach House, Raekwon and Toro y Moi have all made appearances.
Taking place July 19-21 in Chicago's Union Park, Pitchfork has announced that long time indie pop kings Belle and Sebastian, RnB maestro R. Kelly, and iconic artist Bjork will be headlining this year's festival. The full-line up will consist of over forty artists that will soon be announced.
You can now purchase individual and or three day pass tickets for the festival here. More information will be made available here. And or if you want to get the updates even quicker, you can follow the festival’s official twitter @pitchforkfest.
