Minnesota's Low have always lived up to their hometown's reputation for frigid, expansive landscapes featuring a sort of tortured beauty with shades of folk and gothic influences; our first taste of their new album, The Invisible Way, is not so much a departure from this time-tested formula, as it is justification that this formula works.
The Invisible Way, due out March 19 via SubPop, was produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and recorded in his Chicago studio. Watch a trailer for the album below; you can stream the first single, "Plastic Cup," over at NPR.
The band will also be hitting the road this Spring (or, more accurately, braving foreign customs) as they head overseas on tour. Full dates listed below as well.
