Over the years Cat Power has built a reputation for melting down on stage. These freak outs primarily happened earlier in her career, but it's still something that people associate with her live shows. And so it's great to see that Chan Marshall can poke fun at herself in this skit for Funny or Die.
The clip written and directed by Alex Fernie features Marshall performing “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” and “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” to a classroom of second graders. Then in the middle of singing the alphabet, Marshall breaks down: "What's the point? I mean really? It's just like Q. I mean no one gives a shit about Q."
